Regular updates will be sent to you by email every 24 hours. Full consultation notes will be sent within 24 hours after patient discharge.

Night care package
This is an overnight monitoring service for our referring veterinarians who would like their stable patients to be monitored and medicated at night time, and then return back to their clinic the next morning.

Patients not suitable for Night Care Package:
The next morning, the client or referring veterinarian will be responsible in transferring the patient back to the referring clinic. Pick up needs to be done before 9am.
What if the patient become unstable overnight?
The patient will be examined by a veterinarian on admission to ensure that the patient is in a stable condition at the time of admission. However, in rare circumstances, the patient's condition can change overnight. If there is any deterioration overnight, our hospital nurse will notify our veterinarian on duty and owner will be contacted overnight regarding the change of condition of the patient, additional procedure or medication needed and an estimated cost for these procedures.
- Stable patients that need IV fluid and medication overnight. Preferably, these patients should have a diagnosis/ working diagnosis and a treatment plan
- IV catheter already in place if IV fluid or medication is needed
- Urinary catheter already in place if needed
- IV fluid and medications (both injectable and oral) have to be supplied by referring veterinarians.
This service includes:
- An initial physical examination by a veterinarian
- Overnight hospitalisation and nursing care
- TPRs by nurses overnight
- IV fluid therapy
- Administration of injectable or oral medications provided by the referring clinic
- Replacement of IV catheter if needed
- An overnight hospitalisation report.
Patients not suitable for Night Care Package:
- Unstable patients that have significant electrolytes or glucose abnormalities, breathing difficulties, seizure
- Patients that have feeding tubes/ chest drains
- Patients that need blood glucose curve
- Oxygen, blood pressure monitoring, ECG monitoring are not included
- Blood transfusions/ plasma transfusions is not included
- Placement or replacement of urinary catheters are not included.
The next morning, the client or referring veterinarian will be responsible in transferring the patient back to the referring clinic. Pick up needs to be done before 9am.
