About Central Veterinary Emergency.
Central Veterinary Emergency (CVE) provides high quality emergency and critical care services to all pets in Central Victoria.
We are located in the centre of Bendigo and Operate out of McIvor Road Veterinary Centre.
We operate on weekends - Friday 6pm to Monday 8am and public holidays.
We are here for you and your pet when your regular veterinary clinic is closed. Our experienced veterinarians and nurses can also give you advice over the phone.
- To lift the weight of after hours off your shoulders - Improve work life balance of local veterinarians, and reduce the need to work over-time.
- To provide high quality and up to date veterinary care that is also flexible and individualised - We always offer the gold standard option first, and then work adjust to the client’s and patient’s needs.
- To provide optimal communication - Referral letters and clinical notes will be sent every 24 hours for hospital patients and for each consult. For hospital patients, regular vet will be contacted in the morning before patient is transferred back to their care.
We are happy to provide second opinion in relation to complex medical and surgical cases. We are not specialists and will offer referrals to specialist centres in Melbourne if the case requires specialist care or under request.
Finally we do not offer vaccines, dentals, lump removals etc unless they are related to an emergency event and permission has been granted from the regular vet.
