Central Veterinary Emergency (CVE) provides high quality emergency and critical care services to all pets in Central Victoria, including Bendigo, Daylesford, Kyneton, Castlemaine & Heathcote, and surrounding towns.
We are located in the centre of Bendigo, Operating out of McIvor Road Veterinary Centre. Operate on weekends - Friday 6pm to Monday 8am and public holidays. |
We are open when your regular veterinary clinic is closed. |
Central Vet Emergency is a team of dedicated veterinarians, veterinary technicians and nurses with extensive experience in the area of emergency and critical care, medicine and surgery. We operate out of McIvor Road Veterinary Centre, in a purposely built facility that is fitted with equipment catered for emergency care.
We have access to advanced diagnostic and surgical facilities. We provide overnight monitoring service for local clinics and also work closely with Southpaws Veterinary Specialist centre in order to provide you with the best treatment options and up to date advice. We operate during the weekends and public holidays and offer free case support via email, any day of the week. |

Covid-19 Update - 09/02/2021
Dear Clients:
IMPORTANT NOTE:
We will not be able to see you or your pet if you have any symptoms of COVID-19, or if you are self-isolating for any reason. By attending our clinic you acknowledge that you are fit and well.
When you arrive at Central Veterinary Emergency:
Masks are mandatory when entering the clinic.
Waiting room limit is 4 clients… Please enter the waiting room as long as there are less than 4 clients present.
If there is more, either wait outside door or call us to let us know that you have arrived 0413 898 331.
We will let you know when it is safe to come into the waiting room.
You must observe social distancing regulations of 1.5m at all times. We will have areas highlighted in the waiting room.
Please sign in at the station in-front of reception desk on entry and use the hand sanitizer provided when you come into and on leaving the clinic.
Clients are still not able to go inside treatment rooms with their pets. A nurse will take your pet into the consult room for the examination with the veterinarian. Exceptions to this are if you are here for a euthanasia appointment or visiting a sick pet.
We would prefer payment by EFT transactions.
As you leave please use the hand sanitizer provided.
